Enrichment Programs

After-School Math Enrichment

The After-School Math Enrichment course includes ten sessions of one hour that provides children opportunities

  • to develop problem-solving and higher-level thinking skills,

  • to build an understanding of mathematics with activities using “hands-on” materials, and

  • to instill an appreciation and love for mathematics.

 

Courses are designed for students in kindergarten through grade three, for students in grades four through six, and for students in grades six through eight.

 

Topics included in the After-School Math Enrichment courses are aligned to the school curriculum and the Common Core State Standards and fall into the general categories of number sense, number operations, algebra, geometry, probability and statistics, and measurement.

Family Evening of Math and Fun

A typical Family Evening of Math and Fun course includes six sessions of two hours that provides parents along with their children opportunities

  • to develop problem-solving and higher-level thinking skills,

  • to build an understanding of mathematics with activities using “hands-on” materials, and

  • to instill an appreciation and love for mathematics.

 

Courses are usually taught in grouped grade levels such as students in kindergarten through grade three, students in grades four through six, and students in grades six through eight.
